Job Role: Parts Salesperson

Job Description:

A parts salesperson is responsible for selling and promoting automotive parts and accessories to customers, both wholesale and retail. They work in a retail or wholesale automotive parts store, and may also work in a dealership or repair shop. They must have knowledge of automotive parts and be able to assist customers with their needs and provide recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers and determining their needs
  • Assisting customers with selecting and purchasing parts and accessories
  • Providing product knowledge and recommendations to customers
  • Keeping track of inventory and ordering new parts as needed
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Processing payments and completing sales transactions
  • Keeping up-to-date with new products and promotions
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in automotive parts sales or a related field
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and systems
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology or a related field
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification
  • Sales and customer service training
  • Experience with automotive parts software and inventory management systems
  • Strong understanding of automotive parts and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary Range:

$25,000 to $45,000 per year
