Minimum Requirements:

The minimum requirements for becoming a dental assistant typically include a high school diploma and completion of an accredited dental assisting program. Some states may also require dental assistants to be licensed or certified. Additionally, on the job training is also common.

In addition to formal education and training, dental assistants should have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and dental team members. They should also have manual dexterity and attention to detail to perform the technical aspects of the job.
